New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) offers energy audit opportunities to customers.

Energize CT – Home Energy Solutions
There are a few solutions for Connecticut residents looking for a home energy audit.
One of the most-recommended programs is Energize CT, or Energize Connecticut. Energize CT is an initiative of the Energy Efficiency Fund, the Connecticut Green Bank, your state, and your local utilities.
You can get an energy assessment and about $1,000 in on-the-spot energy fixes through Home Energy Solutions. You’ll receive custom recommendations and access to rebates and incentives to make your home more efficient and cut down on energy waste.
Plus, certain customers may qualify for Home Energy Solutions – Income Eligible Program (HES-IE) which provides families with a no-cost energy assessment.

Energy Audit NJ: New Jersey Programs
Live in Jersey? You’re in luck. Depending on your energy provider, there are quite a few audit programs available in your state. And these are just a few of them!
New Jersey Clean Energy
New Jersey’s Cleaner Energy Program provides a robust listing of initiatives that might be available to you. Empower Maryland Comprehensive Energy Audit
A comprehensive energy audit is offered to Maryland residents by participating contractors and can help homeowners understand how to save money and energy while living comfortably. It also allows homeowners to qualify for valuable Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® rebates (HPwES).
The total cost for the comprehensive energy audit is $400, but the homeowner contribution is only $100. The energy auditors will inspect and test your home from top to bottom, usually in 2-3 hours.
Virginia
Appalachian Power
Appalachian Power offers a Home Energy Assessment audit at no cost to their customers. Homeowners will have to use a certified contractor, but will be eligible for rebates once the audit is complete.
Dominion Energy
Similar to Maryland, Dominion Energy offers a Quick Home Energy Check-Up and Comprehensive Energy Audit for Virgina Homeowners. The Comprehensive Energy Audit allows homeowners to qualify for thousands in rebates.
Powell Valley Electric Cooperative
Powell Valley Electric Co-op offers customers a free Home Energy Assessment to assess their usage and problem areas, while providing an energy savings kit that is full of energy saving technology.
Local Energy Alliance Program
The local energy alliance program helps Virginia residents reduce energy use in their home through various audit options. Each audit option has a fee, but certain counties allow low income customers to participate at no cost.
