States have a ‘no regrets’ option when it comes to the Inflation Reduction Act Home Efficiency Rebates (HOMES) Program: implement both the modeled and measured pathways.
But how can states actually do that?
Sealed and Recurve, in coordination with Pearl Certification, released a sample application to provide states with a practical resource to implement both pathways.
From hiring implementers to navigating procurement processes and submitting applications, Sealed knows that there are many steps states need to go through to launch their HOMES Programs. The goal of this sample application is to help states move quickly and have tools to implement both pathways.
The template builds of the application provided by the U.S. Department of Energy earlier this year. It provides suggestions for how to:
- Leverage aggregators
- Implement upfront incentives under the measured pathway
- Maximize the market transformation potential of third-party certifications
You can view the sample application here.
